We want people in our building for Christmas; why on God’s green earth should I stream our service for this event?? Well, there are several reasons, at least eight reasons:
- Christmas is a time when many people are looking for a sense of community and connection. Streaming services can provide a way for people to come together and celebrate the holiday, even if they are not physically together.
- Christmas services are also often very festive and visually appealing. They can make them enjoyable to watch online. People like to see the decorations and see the different events.
- If people see your Christmas service online, they might just come in person. The beginning of the New Year is close and many people make decisions to start coming to church in the New Year.
- Reach people who cannot attend in person. This includes people who are homebound, sick, traveling, or living in remote areas. It also includes people who are interested in learning more about Christianity but are not yet comfortable attending a church service in person.
- Expand the church’s reach. Streaming services can be shared on social media and other online platforms, allowing churches to reach people all over the world. This can be a great way to evangelize and grow the church.
- Provide a more convenient way for people to worship. People can watch Christmas services from the comfort of their own homes, on their own schedule. This can be especially helpful for families with young children or people with disabilities.
- Create a more inclusive and welcoming environment. Streaming services can make it easier for people who feel marginalized or excluded to participate in Christmas services. For example, people with social anxiety may feel more comfortable watching a service online than attending in person.
- Provide a record of the service. Churches can save their streaming services and make them available to watch later. This can be helpful for people who want to revisit the sermon or share it with friends and family.
Overall, streaming your Christmas services is a great way for churches to reach more people, provide a more convenient and inclusive worship experience, and creates a lasting record of the holiday.
